CL&L Fine Wines is run by Dan Lovedale, a member of the UK fine wine trade for 15 years.

Prior to CL&L, Dan was co-founder, co-director and Commercial Director of Provinance Ltd for four years, following five years as Trading Director of Cellar&Co Ltd, where he managed over £4M of stockholding and £5M annual turnover, supplying finest and rarest wines to the global wine trade, private consumers and collectors.  For nine years, he worked closely alongside the highly-skilled veteran of the trade and Master of Wine, Hugo Rose.  Prior to this, Dan held roles as Head of Business Development at Cru Wine Limited after entering the fine wine side of the trade, trading for the £7M-backed Vindemia Wine Trading Companies.  This followed the ubiquitous stepping-stone of a period managing an Oddbins (RIP) branch, proceeding a period in restaurant management, hobbyist wine trading and a good dose of wine exposure in earlier life (see The Company Name)
 
Dan is especially experienced and interested in the finest wines of Burgundy and Bordeaux and, on a more personal level, the best of Tuscany, Chinon, Saumur and the burgeoning English still wine scene (with a particular penchant for Pinot).

Away from the desk  Dan is a keen globetrotter, happiest trekking through a wildlife-filled rainforest in the tropics. Or relaxing, glass of Sangiovese in-hand, looking out over the Conca d'Oro in Panzano, Chianti, with his wife, Becky, and five-year-old daughter, Lily.  He's also an extremely keen cook, edible gardener, well-versed and competent DIYer, tennis player and wanderer of the woods, on the hunt for ceps, chanterelles, et al, Lily and Becky in tow.  He also loves a fast car...as does Lily!
